Where investing in junior golds is concerned, the dice is, more often than not, loaded against the small investors. However, there are two particular periods when small investors may profit decently:-
1) mainly at the exploration stage for, and partly at the development stage of a mine when speculation and hype and promotion often raise the stock price dramatically. Also, anyone with sufficient money would do well at these times, to buy private placements and lots of stock, rather cheaply, for big profits down the line;
2) at the stage where the junior gold company has proved up sizeable and mineable gold reserves which make it an attractive take-over target.
For all the relatively rich gold finds, and then some, that GMD has made to date, it is tempting to believe that GMD has evolved into a attractive take-over target for a major mining company. When GMD is taken over by a major, happy days will be here again for the very many long-suffering and (patient?) small investors!
