Re: Here's another strategy I picked up from SI in order to hype FBN
First, we get Norm, our PR guy, to spam FBN across every Y2K thread on SI and AOL using hyperbole like "This company's future is so bright I need to wear shades" and ambiguous statments like "we're working on contracts and projects right now...". Naturally, when the buying starts, since our previous volume will be all but non-existant, our share price will shoot up.
Next, Norm will post that he expects our shares to climb to some unreasonably high price so that people who have not yet bought FBN can't resist jumping on what appears to be a speeding train. When the buying stops, and we've unloaded our allotment of 144 shares, then we can finally do that reverse-split we've been talking about.
Lastly, when investors scream for Norm's head on a platter, we dust off every IR department's secret weapon: the classic bathos post. It goes something like this: "When the price kept on going up, I was a hero. Now that the price has retraced, I'm a piece of #$%^. Fundamentally, nothing has changed about this company, so stop your griping." Then, for reinforcement, one of us can post something like: "We all had our chance to do our own DD, so stop your whining and trying to blame someone else".
Never seen it fail!
