Thank you for the very nice thought about what a great find the Smart Card article was......You would think that some folks would be greatful enough to name their next born.... Brad, or Bradley.......wouldn't you?....You can encourage Lorretta all you want.....but I doubt it will straighten out a duck hook....or a wicked slice....one or the other being a hallmark of Lorretta's game of late. Stop kidding yourself.....you are hamburger,..... E coli.

And before you drag my mother into this......I must remind you that I grew up on the streets of Chicago, and we will be doing a face to face soon......and she is your mother too!

Smart Cards are going to catch on....Americans will love them.....Swipe...Swipe....Swipe....No pocket full of change at the end of the day. Merchants will save alot of time and their employees won't need to make change anymore........The problem is that it is just like cash....Worth stealing!.........An index finger print on a Verifone card reader, and it is a truly Smart Card.......Only the owner can use it.

The Smart Cards are biometric ready now. Verifone is ready now...The holes are already in all of the new ATM machines... The groundwork has been laid...and IDX is there. It will take a long time to come about.....but it will happen. Just put it on the back burner.

Thanks for finding the RatMan post........It will mean different things to different people.....RatMan is a concept. One of the biggest hurdles we have to jump is the public's idea that fingerprint authentication is somehow invading their privacy and that Big Brother is stealing their souls. This is why large time and attendance installations have not hit yet....and why biometric Smart Cards are 3 to 5 years away. Love RatMan, hate RatMan....but never forget RatMan!
