Lower rates and "stimulus" are useless and counterproductive since neither of them do anything to address our core strategic issues as a nation. We could use a few new wars -- the old wars have been so absurd, it would be hard to do any worse. We need a war on those who would tell us that deficits don't matter. We need a war on those who tell us that drilling in the wilderness will solve our energy problems. We need a war on people who say that the money we pay in taxes is "ours" so we want it back. We need a war on those who look straight into the camera and lie to the people who elected them. We need to declare a war on our own stupidity -- that ought to keep us busy for a long time.
