Re: My new embedded systems CD: Floor13-2K
Kevin Watson sure was correct about the difficulties of finding good names for Y2K products. Fortunately, since I tested my new product on the 13th floor of several dozen hotels (you know, the supposedly unlucky one), and it worked, the name was a no-brainer in the true sense of the word.
Problem is, since a competitor of ours is supposed to be releasing something similar in a few days, I had to cut some corners to rush it to market. Actually, I got a good deal on some old Richard Simmons CDs and just relabeled 'em "Floor13-2K". I figure that by the time people realize the intro is not an hour long, they'll be too tired and sweaty (and hungry) to call us to complain.
Anyway, we can just blame it on production and the fact that version 1.0s of anything always have bugs. If the delays get too long and customers start complaining, we'll tell them they have some nerve complaining it took us a year to upgrade when MSFT's successor to Windows 95 was Windows 98!
