Hey Steve & all,
It seems to me (based on this most recent PR) that "contracts" may not be used but rather PO's issued on a part bid/per item basis.
I work in the High Rise construction industry and there are many times when a relationship is formed between a GC and a Sub Contractor whereby a hard bid is no longer required (ie. there is no open bid competition among similar subs) but the job cost contracts are a negotiated price process. This is, IMHO, a very similar situation to what is described here. A part description (I would imagine it as a CAD file with complete dimensions and specs) is received electronically, a hard price is established based on the item and quantity to be produced (a per item cost is reduced by some factor based on the quantity required)/ [this cost may receive some negotiation], a PO is issued, the manufacturing/delivery process begins and payment is made on delivered items.

This is just what I'm reading into this PR and, if I may say so, this is the most positive PR to date. The fact that ACII has made it to this level says to me that we have arrived and thing should now reach the "Explosive" levels stated earlier.

Do your own DD. This is just one mans opinion.

Gary
