Volume on the 16th for the Naz put it in the record books as being a top 5 day over the last two years. Being in this group is usually associated with a Index rotation like June 22nds record day for the R2K rebalance. We saw huge volume on certain issues that is correlated to fund buying, big blocks after close.

Have no idea where the Supply came from, there was no market pricing in effect.

One disconnect that proves the System of systems theme is that huge in place SOI, met the positive Vol, with down pricing. Shorts were not made to cover, marking the day as systemic self interest.

The SOI data for this month will challenge the mind IMO, with respect to what has happened with price..

a few of the other top vol days in this year over year continuum; 9 November, 16 August, 26 July, March 1 & Febr 28.
I suspect the Jan 17th data will make the list as well.
