Hardrocker ... You are exactly correct only MMs can short a stock under a dollar. That post is interesting and SEC might like to see that one also. Anyway under five dollars these stocks have short trading restrictions on them. Only MM and the professionals can short them. LOCKC fo example should have that restriction lifted shortly now that it is close to the $5.00 mark. That is when the fun begins.

AGTI Trading Friday opened when 35K at the ask then 20K at the bid and 15K mid range. Then 25K at the ask next 14K at the mid then 10K at the ask 35K mid then 2-5000 at the bid dropping the ask. once that happened the 10Ks at the bid really started happening till by the end of the day they covered in 30K lots.

LOL ... welcome to short trading. As far as protecting my investment I will report to the SEC of any possible problem I might see. Being a private investor I have the right to protect my investment. Also you can make a complain to the SEC to check the trading on a stock you own. People need to realize there are agencies and reporting things will assist the SEC with catching the shorts posting. I have posted the links all the time but I will post again.

sec.gov

now you can copy any post you feel like and request a trading investigation. That is how SGA and others have been caught. I say protect your investment anyway you can.

Just my opinion.
