As far as a decent man....GWB has been, and remains, a good and decent man. Where did that get him politically?

Completely agree. I still think history will think well of him,just less well than I had hoped. Some of the reduction in stature is a result of dealing with the politics, as well as mistakes. Everybody makes them. Hindsight's grand. Probably pretty normal, part of the process. Tough job.
