Its amazing you complain about the Swift Veterans version of the story after you just posted a story from Vietnamese sources which said Kerry didn't even run off the boat and shoot the guy at all. The Viet with the rocket launcher was shot, they said, ran a little ways before collapsing and dying.

The fog of war I suppose could account for the varying stories.
