But the prices of oil and gas are set on the world market That's just piece of the equation. There is advertising and profit involved in refining, distribution, and sales. Nationalizing them would eliminated that part of the cost just as nationalizing health insurance would eliminate that part of the cost of health care. They seem parallel to me.
