Ted, I think the bottom line is that the Lacc process is an evolutionary possibly revolutionary new kind of machining. So we have a new and unique technology developed by a largely unknown and little tiny company. This same company is also making extravagant claims. Marc has repeatedly said that one major early problem was to get the giant company's attention. The purchase of KSI has helped greatly with this problem. Once Marc and co got their attention he has had to get them to take his quite impressive claims seriously. So we basically have had a person/company not known by the bigs, saying look at us, hear what we have to say, we have an incredible technology that can/might change the way many parts are machined and say you millions in money and time. Marc and Rhonda have also said that once they have gotten these guys attention many had a hard time believing it and some did not believe it and didn't even give Americhip a chance to prove it. So its been an uphill battle. Add to this the fact that many large companies have interest groups both inside and out (suppliers etc) that are intrenched, dug in and not budging who benefit from the status quo. Many large companies also claim they encourage change for the better and innovation but few do in practice. Lastly, and I have been discussed this as well with Marc and Rhonda is that despite Americhip having a large number of successful trials and proving the Lacc technology. It may take a "big shot" with COURAGE to be the first person/company to sign his name on the Purchace order or contract for the Lacc process at GM, Ford, Defense dept etc because if this "risk taking" fails for some reason so could his job. Sorry so long but I think thats the company's take on why its been such a challenge and battle to move the Lacc process through this minefield.
