I agree with you on everything except the rating agencies. Their behavior recently has been very strong in terms of damage control and showing independence and I believe they will survive and be respected in the future. You even see that in the ABK downgrade to AA. If it did not matter as you say, ABK would not have made attempts to retain AAA rating. Ratings still matter and they will matter in the future. As another example, try to start a muni bond insurance company with a lower rating than AAA and you will see that ratings still matter. ;)

I own MCO and I am looking to buy more of it together with MHP in the future.
