Let's not confuse our current medical system with anything close to pure capitalism.

I'm definitely not doing that. In fact, as we evaluate options for change, we should look at the possibility of making it more, not less capitalistic. This mixed system we have now is kludgy. Perhaps we could come up with a mixed system that works better.
