It was the darned skis he was using. I gave them up a couple of years ago because they were scary. They have a mind of their own and would cross tips all the time. I had to be very vigilent watching for that, and eventually decided I'd had enough. The only reason he likes them is because they're light and go through the bumps really easily. But yesterday wasn't a bump day. More like a cruising day, and I should have known that and said something. I think the best solution for those skis is to give them to someone that is just beginning. Do yourself a favor and get some of these for your shoes. They are cheap insurance. YAKTRAX
