Science is about laws, not specific outcomes.

Maybe, depending on exactly what you mean by that. But the global warming issue is largely about specific actions and outcomes, not simple laws.

Evolution deniers deny the attribution of life to a common ancestor. AGW deniers deny the attribution of GW to human causes

Evolution deniers deny a lot more than life descending from a common ancestor.
