Dave: "Pretty whopping sized bailouts for the big banks. A trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon you're talking real money."

I ran that line through my head just yesterday. The old Everett Dirkson quote. Only it was billions then. We are in uncertain times as Robert Rubin said.

I have run the fiscal equations through my head a million times and they just do not work out.

My primary concern is that the American people seem unable to discern who knows what to do and who does not. One more presidency like GW's and we are toast and possibly the world.
