I agree with you that Gore would have won in a landslide, but you are wrong about Edwards. In matchups with Obama, Hillary, and Edwards each against McCain, McCain beat all 3 with the following margins; McCain beats Obama by 1.3% McCain beats Edwards by 1.7% McCain beats Hillary by 4.0% So Obama is still the best candidate for the Dems.
