The big question here is whether some US financial institutions will need to sell some of their US Treasury holdings in order to raise cash to meet required payments, or will the Fed provide the money needed to do this? If it's the latter, a severe hyperinflation will eventually result, with the yield on the 30 year bond rising to late 1970 levels, at the very least. If it's the former, we may get that yield spike sooner rather than later. Either way, the bond market is headed toward a vicious bear market.
