I think we'll see a rebound in gold as the extent of death and destruction becomes clear and as it becomes clear that the bear market is a very sharp and probably long one.

My thesis re: FXP is as simple as can be: China is in a bubble [real estate, shares and credit] and is, moreover, dependent in large measure on exports. If its export markets don't do well, how can it keep the bubbles inflated, esp., as Jay notes, if the government is holding the needle and seemingly willing to use it?
