I'm sorry to hear about your trip... but from the sounds of things, he really made the right decision that he couldn't ski....
From the sounds of weather.com, who knows...maybe you will get to ski right outside your front door from Friday until at least Monday....I'm not sure we can even go have my appointment on Monday because we have to be there before 7:30... Guess we'll know more by Thursday or Friday...
On the "easy chicken soup"....I looked up those noodles you mentioned as I didn't know of them...I'd think they would be too heavy in this, but maybe not....
The Chinese noodles I get are usually dry and in the oriental part of QFC...I have had the fresh ones, and they are good, but the dry ones work too!

If he feels like going someplace, rent a wheel chair for him and just go....When all that trouble was first starting with my knee, I'd gone to LV for a sisters reunion, and they called and rented one, made me pay for it, and they pushed wherever we went.... Against my better judgement, BUT they were right...we all had fun that way, and no one had to stay home...The wheelchair was cheap for the week (think maybe $150), but there are also those electric scooters....Saw a gal with one this last trip to LV, and she uses it for everyplace....She calls the Medical Supply house, they bring it to the hotel, set her up, and she's in business. If the hotel does it, it's a LOT more....She was renting it for 12 days, and it was under $200...
