Yeah Joe, situations like this still amaze me. The best play here is to track the short-term euphoria related to the "Iomega Fantasy", (I kinda like that one).
You and Michael have touched on the reality of the situation in beginning to analyze the numbers.
Assuming the SparQ is real, released fairly soon, meets the rumored specs, and sells like hotcakes... the fact of the matter is that we have absolutely no way of knowing if the EdHeads can make any kind of profit on the drive. In fact, at the rumored price levels, it would seem very possible that margins would be quite low and perhaps non-existent until volume production kicked in.
This of course makes no difference to a seemingly large number of investors. So, I won't fight it and I'll continue to day trade, take a piece of the pie, and be out before the bell so as never to be burned by this dog and it's very questionable (IMO of course) management.
