This is indeed worrisome, but I wouldn't say panicking. Are we in recession territory yet? Isn't it 20% down for a period of time? Are we there yet? (These are questions, I'm no expert on what constitutes a recession.) I hope Brinker's been right all along, that we won't see recession (I think that's what he's said) but no one has ever said he couldn't be wrong. AAR, I don't think the downslide can be laid at Brinker's feet along with everything else that's bad in the world that's supposedly his fault. You think the fed actually listens to what Brinker thinks they should do? I don't. I heard it was a Bush-Bernanke plan.
