"That distribution is an "at the expense of" issue. If you pay the CEO more then others suffer, be it the stockholders or the employees. It's a zero sum game at any given moment." Which is the whole point. For the past couple of decades the distribution has been skewed towards those at the top. And that leads to all kinds of problems.
