This board is just too funny. Every SI board has its own flavor, but the ZITL board is always good for a laugh.

BGuy, the contest you propose may well be illegal gambling. My guess is that the webmistress of SI would not be too happy to hear that an off-line contest involing money is being organized on this board. Please stop, because I enjoy reading your posts, and don't want you to lose your posting privledges. There are a number of shorts on this board who have been very forthcoming about their short positions. (For example, I am currently short 4800 shares.) No one, short or long, needs to be baited.

I like Zebra's harmless but effective way to keep track of the price of Zitel until March '98. How about this as an alternative to BGuy's proposal: teams will bet whether Zebra's ZITL index is higher or lower on March 9, 1998 compared to October 9, 1997. The losers will have to post on March 9: "I was a fool about Zitel." I'll step up to the plate for that one. Anyone else short or long willing to go along?

Finally, I think that we need a companion award to complement the Short Azz Award. How about the Long Gas Award? And I've got a candidate. . .

John
