Well Mr. Masterson...

The only company I've heard making "noises" about a move to sub 90nm processes would be Fujitsu with its BFO formulation for the ferroelectric and 65nm/256Mb density goals.

My most optimistic view on that is a commercial product by 2010 if ever. I suppose there would be an application base for it but frankly I have a hard time seeing one at a price point I find interesting. I'm with you as far as maintenance of our niche is concerned.

For me the more interesting long term developments are those currently in the research laboratories which might begin hitting the research fabs by the 2010-2012 time frame. I don't see any need to spend a lot of cash just to say they've got a 65nm process. Bennett is right to let the markets come to them.

MRAM is still not competitive and every time they jump the density on PC-RAM it moves further away from RMTR's markets and its performance specs get further away from any Holy Grail classification. So I don't see any reason to rush development.
