But, we're going into a recession, no doubt about it. What really sucks about recessions is, you don't know how long they'll last or how bad they'll get. This looks to be a long, bad one, if not that never again horror, a depression.
Stuff like Bush, Bernanke and the pols are doing don't change anything, they just stretch it out. Better to get to the bottom ASAP, determine WHERE that is, take the creative, cleansing destruction, and start clawing our way back up.
Walk through any mall. Examine the stores. At each one, ask yourself, "Do I really NEED anything they sell?" If you don't, they won't survive.
Bernanke is a lifelong student of markets, federal banking systems, recessions, booms, depressions, etc. If he follows what he's written, our interest rates will be zero soon. Just like Japan's before their 15 years of zero growth. |
