I have found that the people to listen to are the traders as they have to be right. Art Cashen a floor trader said the world is wondering what was it the feds saw that was so scary they decided to cut 75 basis without a meeting. The fed had been stingy heretofore with every 25 basis points. The market feels the fed will also follow up with another 25 or 50 basis point cut before Feb. Apple came out with disappointing earnings but Nikkei up 429 tonight. Toronto was up 500 points today while the DOW was down over 100. What does this mean? I truly do not think anyone has this figured out. I have also noticed people seldom ever predict when we get into these bad situations, but everyone thinks they know when and how we will get out-lol.
