Thanks for the info harley and the fix;
Ill run a scenerio by you as it was explained to me by a broker a few years ago to see if it makes sense.
Alot of the trading on the VSE is done in off shore accounts where they dont have to declare shorts? A persons sells shares they dont have and then has three days to buy them back to cover...sort of short short selling. So they have a three day window of opportunity. If the stock doesnt go down they just repeat the process untill it does. In other cases they dont even bother to cover because off shore traders can hedge the books for awhile.
I have also heard that some players will have a dozen or more accounts around the world which they can use to Sort of create a market. They start buying, it looks like people all over are buying abunch of people start following the stock thinking something is up and then the player who started it all sells off and starts shorting till the momentum switches the other way.......and that the ways the rules are this seldom gets caught ......
