Mr Peter Lo reports
Preliminary results have been received from the fall exploration and
development program by the companies on the Nome clam group. These claims
are within the Erickson-Cusac mine gold vein system southeast of Cassiar,
BC.
A 2.0km surveyed base line and tie line grid totalling approximately 25km
in length with 50m spacing was done on the claim group. A thorough survey
grid was done on Nome No. 1 to discover and map quartz veins. Visible gold
in quartz veins is common in this area which has hosted over 15 successful
past and present operating mines within 20km of the claims.
Three zones of mineralization were identified varying in width from 1.5 to
30m and in length from 200 to 300m. One hundred greenstone and mineralized
quartz samples have been taken for assay. A preliminary trenching program
has been started to define the extent of zone mineralization and collect
further samples.
Samples will be assayed for gold, silver and other metals. Veins containing
visible gold will be further trenched to measure width and length. Bulk
sampling will be done and assayed for surface values to identify high grade
vein targets for drilling. An initial diamond drill program consisting of
10 drill holes to a depth of 125m each is planned per notice of work and
reclamation program filing.
