" JV1/2 are not SPSN FABs anymore, so JV3 is the key FAB in with SP1. Spansion said some time ago, that they want to "convert" customers from old 230/350nm designs down to 110nm or even 90nm. Thats what JV3 and FAB25 could do. So JV3 will still produce lots of 110nm which are shrinks from old 230/350nm parts and FAB25 will produce new 90nm parts. It was a key cost cutting argument from Spansion, that they want to switch legacy customers from old JV1/2 lines to newer lines. " Is that production moving to fab25 with the change in the Fujitsu distribution agreement. " I think its both. Some designs simply move to 110nm JV3, some to 90nm FAB25 and some still will produced on 230nm (JV1/2) which SPSN buys from Fujitsu under a agreement. " Given that SP1 was built to handle 30 to 40K wafers per month (6-10k WSPW) that would seem to be enough capacity for awhile even if JV1/2 were to go away. " From slide 10 files.shareholder.com we could see 17% rev. estimate for 110nm FG and other in 2008. This is JV3 and bought-JV1/2 stuff from Fujitsu. This further means, that Spansion expects to generate around 83% revs. from FAB25 and SP1. Thats probably not right, because I assume that JV3 produces some 110nm MB too. Thats the unknown. BUGGI
