Snowshoe, fun clip! I always thought Joni wrote that song! I've just discovered the wealth of clips on UTube- found one of Joni when she was just starting out- a pretty 19 year old. And one of her more recent, where her voice is really damaged (sounds like a whiskey-roughened, smoker's voice) but still has some of the magic. Also-song fragment buildup- what a great term. At least you remember words- I tend to remember a musical phrase- a piece of melody, or the chords. Never remember words to anything, but I can lala along with any part in a song, including the instruments. MJ thought we had the makings of a great SI band here.
