Just an observation, but Stiglitz had a very different view of a stimulus package back in '03. It is a different time so it can be argued that different remedies are needed, but he clearly came down on the side of putting money into the hands of average Americans back then. He also advocated a temporary business investment tax cut as well as getting money to the states. pbs.org Slacker
