There was a significant difference between Paul Volker and the irresponsible Alan Greenspan, and an immense difference in their results.

If you don't accept that, that's fine with me. You can keep your autographed photo of Alan KBE above your desk and light incense to him as you wish.

Greenspan could have behaved differently and chose not to. Watching the money supply inflate by a 12% to 18% annual rate is a far cry from the 3% you imagine occurred.

Actions actually have consequences.
