TSL,

IMO, the public has little idea about the future value of PMs and PM stocks, let alone the juniors which is an even smaller and less understood sector. On this week's financial sense newshour, Eric King tells of a junior's presentation to a group of investors who have $250M to invest but the junior is doing a private placement for only $2M. So limited junior stock availability is likely keeping many institutions from participating. Jim Puplava has said that even a fund of his size must accumulate very slowly to keep from moving the price of thinly traded juniors some tens of percent higher. As long as the majority of juniors have their price levels contained, I believe that the unspoken understanding among the moneyed cognoscenti will be to continue to slowly accumulate since juniors comprise only a small portion of their total portfolio. Meanwhile, it seems that every time there is a fearful pullback in HUI or SPX, some fools dump their junior shares which are quick to fall because of thin trading volume but slow to recover.

This doesn't even address the possibility of outright manipulation.

But at some point (I vote for late March/early April, BWDIK) breakouts in juniors will begin and the price explosion will rival the one that occurred in juniors in 2002 and 2003.

I think that you already know all this, but I felt like saying it anyway. <g>
