Bloomberg: Natural Gas Falls on Speculation Weaker Economy to Curb Demand

Supplies probably fell 158 billion cubic feet in the week ended Jan. 18, according to the median of 10 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. The average change for the same week over the past five years is a decline of 161 billion cubic feet, according to Energy Department data.

Reuters: U.S. spot natural gas prices slid at
nearly every price point Wednesday for the second day in a row, as weaker
energy futures amid fears of an economic slowdown outweighed some near-term
demand, traders said.

190 bcf, with most traders and analysts expecting stocks to fall by about

GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: January 23, 2008 Gulf production was revised slightly higher in yesterday's I2 cycle and remains at 12.1 Bcf/d today, which is up 5% from levels in January 2007. Month-to-date production onshore and offshore Louisiana is up 9% compared to levels in January 2007, while Texas production remains down about 4% over the same period. Independence Hub production is slightly below the month-to-date average at 889,000 Dth/d.
