Check out the time line on the age for voting. The first time that Obama would have qualified to vote would have been in 1979 or 1980 depending on how his birthday fell.

He could not have voted for Carter the first time; He could have voted in 1980.

I think a very valid question to ask Obama is "What was the lst election that you voted in for President?" Since he is a Presidential candidate it is appropriate to ask if he voted in 1980. The next question is was he active in the Democrat Party in 1980?
