Their may be many examples of rewarded incompetence in finance, but not nearly so many as their are in government.

For all the examples you may find and list, it doesn't change the fact that the US is and has been more a place for "growth-driven, market-based capitalists" than Europe as a whole. While in Europe the nations that tax, spend, and regulate more, are growing slower than their less interventionist neighbors.

You don't like this fact, but you have no good counterargument on this scale, so you find a person or group of people who did a bad job and got a ton of money for it, as if that was some refutation.
