I haven't read your entire discouse the MS Explorer 4.0 situation, but I have the following to add from my IS org. It seems that it isn't a complete hard drive erase that you would find if you downloaded Explorer 4.0, but it would reformat your hard drive completely, and unsuspectedly. This avaricious plan/tactic on the part of MS seems unmitigated, but not surprizing. Anyway, I just bought a new Presario, and shortly thereafter, CPQ, but we haven't been advised of this by CPQ.
