Box, Love the idea for many folks. The .357 magnum is the best man stopper of any handgun round. The 185 grain Federal Hollow Point has an incredible 93% one-shot stops in actual police data. I'm sure you know this, but for others reading this reply, stopping an attacker is not the same as killing him. Say somebody is in your house and running at you with a big knife. Most any pistol ammunition can kill him, in time. But, you don't really care if he dies or not. You want him to stop coming at you with the knife. Many of the super calibers, .50, .44 magnum and .45 magnum, are so powerful that they don't shock the body enough to stop the attacker as often as a .357 magnum does.

Glocks are not my favorite guns in many of the standard automatic calibers. Most are double action only, while I prefer single action Colt designs. But, for a .357 magnum in a compact form, the Glock makes a lot of sense. I have Desert Eagles in .357 and and .44 magnum. ("Made by some bad-assed Hebrews", according to the James McMurtry song.) Great guns, but the idea that anyone is going to carry these monsters in a shoulder holster is ludicrous (o.k., perhaps Shaq O'Neal). The mostly plastic Glock is much friendlier on your back. And much easier to conceal.

That being said, size reduces recoil, and the Glock is gonna kick like a mule. If you can't hit what you are aiming at, it is better to have a .22 that you can shoot straight with.

All things considered, a great choice. But try it on a range before you buy.
