Take a look back at the last couple thousand posts in here and you'll see that questions about Adobe's unpredictable performance are as old as the hills.

Unfortunately, answers to those questions aren't as numerous.

About the best explanation I've seen is that there's a preception that Adobe is straddling the Mac and Windows platforms with its products. If there's news in AAPL, it becomes news for Adobe. Likewise for any graphics or Web-development news on the Windows front. So, to really understand the movement in Adobe you have to keep up on AAPL and MSFT; news from other competing companies in Adobe's markets isn't even as influential as news from these two players.
