Al, the Swifties are highly decorated veterans of Vietnam. Don't you think they got a little pissed off when, back in the 70's, John Kerry was on TV calling them "rapists, torturers, and war criminals"?
These deeds are not really in dispute...free fire standing orders are documented fact...Mi Lai of course is documented fact, deforestation by chemicals, bombing of cities, burning of villages, all desperate acts in a war going badly....and started with a lie by our government.
These swifties appear to lack the conscience or strength to admit their role, willful or otherwise. To be silent is, I suppose, understandable. To attack a fellow soldier , who came home to expose what we were doing there, and impugn his courage and record no less, is an act of cowardice.
