LIAR. The segregated south white majority like the current Bushie GOP rightwing used and uses every trick they can lie about to supress black and poor voters and keep them from geting to the polls and having their votes counted.

The latest trick is out of the playbook of the Jim Crow racists, that is to demand people pay for special ID cards, supposedly to fight "voter fraud", a crime which hardly even exists and has affected no elections anyone knows about in 40 years. Here are a few type people who would thereby be barred from voting:

- The elderly
- The infirmed
- Soldiers off at war
- The poor
- Minorities who might be afraid of the white police
- Anyone with a parking ticket they haven't paid

Add those all up, except for the last one 90% probably democratic voters, and you can cheat to steal quite a few close elections as a GOP rightwinger. PLus, if you station tough-looking white cops at the polling places and have roadblocks and don't supply enough voting machines at democratic stronghold precincts you can cut the Dem vote by 25%. That is only one of the many dirty tricks Rove used in Ohio 2004 to limit the votes of blacks and college students.
