I know your point. And I will only tell you what I feel, but not necessary agree with those management people.
1. As a investor, I don't necessary agree with management people's request to give out 93% to executives and only 7% to employees. If company do make money, I don't mind to give out some incentive to the staff, but not most of them to management. My point is that if management don't see the future, then no matter how many incentives are given is worthless. Then why they bother to ask now. Those incentive usually can not be exercised right away until stock price worth something and need to hold certain period of time.
2. If company do not have good management and technology, then why investors will throw their money into water?
3. Certainly, I still have doubt about why Syquest want to create any product to compete its own Syjet. I like to keep this informed until I got the chance to talk to management team. As a investor, I don't like to fooled and I want all the facts to insure I am in the right track for my investment. I am a serious investor, not a trader.
4. I discussed with my husband about the future picture of Syquest's products. The point he has is that SyJet will be used for high end users. The advantage of Syjet is speed, quality, storage capacity and removable. If the company can cut down the price for another product, and still provide good storage capacity. Then regular people who need to upgrade more hard drive may just go ahead to buy that new product which will provide more capacity of storage, at the same time, the drive can have speedy and high volume back up feature. So people who bought the product will get advantage of hard drive and back up usage.
This is the reason why company will design with no SCSI feature at all because they may cut down the producing cost and those people don't have SCSI feature will use as extra hard drive space and at the same time to get high quality back up system.
I hope my assumption is correct, can someone has comment on this?
I only live not too far from Syquest, so I hope I will have chance to understand their strategy before anybody else so I can make decision on what I should do for my stocks. |
