So Kerry didn't run on his Vietnam war record? He didn't set himself up for the attacks, regardless of whether such attacks were inevitable or not? He didn't try and run away from his anti-war past?

Take a look at how the attacks on McCain fizzled out. Only those still bitter about the Swifties attacks on Kerry actually cared. Why is that?

Like I said, McCain's war record can stand on its own. You think any man's name can be smeared? Think again.
