Bad car loans in the current environment will not be salvaged as in the past. You can also argue that kidney transplants have saved lives. True, but not when the patient's liver, heart and lungs are shutting down. Kidney transplants don't work in that situation.

Our economy has been run on bad credit for years. Subprime car loans are part of that bad credit. It's too late to save this patient. It's on life support but it's brain dead. The political stimulus BS is tantamount to a life support machine...

It keeps the heart of a dead patient beating for a while.
