While McCain remains my first choice, I find myself warming up as bit to the prospect of a Romney nomination. It is going to be a very tight race on Tuesday between Romney and McCain. The winner is going to get an important bump going into February 5. Within the last 24 hours, McCain has been endorsed by both Senator Martinez and Governor Crist. I am sure that McCain is hoping that these two endorsements will offset the shame of being endorsed by the New York Times. Fla. Governor to Endorse McCain By LIZ SIDOTI ORLANDO (AP) — Florida Gov. Charlie Crist will endorse John McCain, The Associated Press has learned, a move likely to give the Republican presidential candidate a critical boost ahead of Tuesday's primary. The Arizona senator is locked in a tight race with Mitt Romney, with Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee trailing. All sought Crist's endorsement. McCain was appearing with Crist at the Pinellas County GOP Lincoln Day Dinner later Saturday, and the endorsement was to be announced there, according to Republican officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Crist's move comes a day after Florida Sen. Mel Martinez gave his nod to McCain and promised to vigorously campaign on his behalf in the final days of the campaign.
