Only 28% of the country supports Bush-Cheney. Romney is an elitist preppy Bush clone with a few progressive tinges which may get him 40% support. 40% means you lose in a landslide.

McCain is supposed to be a maverick but for 3-5 long years he totally backed Bush on the major issues and rarely said anything. He is also old, and quite frankly Chuck Norris may be right. He may not live very much longer. So talk about yesterday's candidate. 2000 was his year and Bush smeared him and stole it from him. Then McCain smeared himself in 2004.

McCain turned down Kerry's generous offer to be his VP and unify the country and end the Bush corruption and Iraq debacle. By refusing Kerry, McCain betrayed his country and himself. That was his last real chance. He might become the nominee, but he will be the Bob Dole of 2008 if he gets it. And many far rightwingers will stay home because they hate McCain. Of course rightwingers hate almost everybody so whatever.
