I think I understand what you are saying----let's try this---

1. During the 1960's the underpinnings of society were stronger because we had not had a war since the Korean War.

2. Our societies structure was for the most part still in tact; broken homes were not common----most homes had two parents

3. The young people of the 1960's had mobility not enjoyed by previous generations----- cars, vans, airplanes became commons ways to travel (previously it was trains and buses)

4. This was the first generation of young people to go to colleges en masse extending their time to marry and have families

5. This was the first generation to experiment with psycho-active drugs nationwide------since the days of prohibition when the drug was alcohol

6. No one said no to the generation of the 1960's-----they were allowed to do what they wanted by parents and society, and they did

Note: When I refer to the generation of the 1960's I am thinking ' end of WWII and post-WWII for having been born' beginning about 1945--------
