We'll just have to see. I expect a large cut 50-75 bp this week,
resulting, perhaps, in a near term bounce for these markets.
However, your May "insane" target could be right - this
could be second to last bullet. The Fed will use the last
bullet to kill itself, and the markets will just take care
of themselves from there. The patient is indeed very sick, and
may need to remain in ICU for some time. <g> I don't think
the Fed will be able to cut below 3% due to the weakness
in the dollar that is likely to resume with a vengence as
the market rallies.
